Gio Pastori is a celebrated local Milanese artist, who specialised in collage. Using scissors as his pen he cuts irregular, unexpected, surreal and charming shapes into coloured paper, rearranging them into patterns and illustrations. Defined by Forbes as one of the 30 most influential artists under the age of 30 in 2017, Pastori works across different mediums, collaborating with magazines, musicians and fashion brands such as Moncler and Prada.
For his collaboration with Cinelli, Pastori took Cinelli's original logo used between 1948-1979, itself a mix of heraldic symbols representing our founder Cino Cinelli's Tuscan origins and new Milanese home, and transformed it into a mimetic, expressive, pattern applied to both our iconic cap and cycling socks.
