Evolved For Modern Trail Riders
Trail riders seek a shock with the performance of a Float X but with lightweight capability like that found in the Float SL. Yet there is nothing middle-of-the-road about Float. With its large volume EVOL air spring, riders can run their shock at lower air pressures for a more linear feel throughout the stroke. This results in smoother small bump performance, better grip at the tyres and a shock that will not overheat on the demanding descents.
Ride Without Compromise
Optimising suspension for trail riding means creating a firm platform for pedaling and climbing efficiency without penalizing descending performance. With bolstered valving and an oversized Internal Floating Piston (IFP) the remote-compatible Float offers a wider range of tuning and enhanced damping control that approaches the descending performance of the Float X. All this while keeping to a more compact and lightweight package. Whether hitting high-vert days or tackling a multi-day epic, Float is the definitive shock for the Trail category.
Trail Versatility In A XC Package
Float's inline design does not just keep the weight down (160 grams lighter than Float X and just 60 grams heavier than the featherweight Float SL, in 190 x 45mm size), it provides a greater range of fitment for trail bike frames. Designed without the need for a piggyback reservoir, Float also leaves more clearance for water bottle cages and is compatible with a wider range of E-MTB frames.
